Associate Professor of Clinical Neurological Surgery

Dr. Ronald Brisman specializes in the treatment of Trigeminal Neuralgia. This includes expertise in microvascular decompression, Gamma Knife radiosurgery and needle rhizotomy (radiofrequency, glycerol, balloon). He has operated, successfully, on more than 2000 patients. His excellent results reflect his philosophy of maximizing pain relief and minimizing complications. He has made a number of technical advances in all the above operations and has incorporated the best and most recent technologic developments. His interest in trigeminal neuralgia is comprehensive and includes diagnosis, medical management and imaging (thin section, high resolution MRI). He believes in personalized, individualized, skillful and compassionate care.
